Hillingdon sits immediately east of Uxbridge and gives its name to the wider London borough. It is one of our closest coverage areas, only a few minutes from base.
The area
Largely residential and green, Hillingdon covers the UB10 and part of the UB8 postcode areas. Hillingdon Circus is the main road junction locals navigate by, and the older village end around St John's has a quieter, more historic feel.
Hillingdon Hospital
Hillingdon Hospital on Pield Heath Road is the main general hospital for the borough, serving a large catchment. Appointment travel is a regular journey for us, and one where arriving on time matters.
Schools
The area has a strong concentration of schools, including Swakeleys School, ACS Hillingdon International School and St Helen's College.
Green space
Hillingdon Court Park and the Hillingdon Trail give the area more accessible green space than you might expect this close to London. The Trail runs the length of the borough.
Getting around
Hillingdon station is on both the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines. The A40 runs along the northern edge, giving quick access west toward the M40 and east into London.
