Uxbridge sits at the western edge of London, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, where the Metropolitan and Piccadilly Underground lines terminate. It has been home to Donegan Express Ltd for years.
Getting around
Uxbridge Underground station sits right in the town centre. For road access, the A40 runs along the edge of town, connecting to the M40 and out toward Heathrow via the A408/A4020 corridor — a route we drive constantly, so we know when it backs up and when it doesn't.
Shopping and town centre
The town centre is anchored by two shopping centres almost next to each other: The Chimes and The Pavilions, plus a cinema and bowling alley for an evening out.
Green space and the canal
The Grand Union Canal runs through Uxbridge, with towpath walks stretching toward Denham and beyond. Uxbridge Lido is a popular outdoor swimming spot in summer.
History
The Battle of Britain Bunker, the underground operations room used during the Battle of Britain, is a preserved museum near the town and well worth a visit.
Education
Brunel University London has its main campus on Kingston Lane, bringing students, academic visitors and conference traffic to the area — including a fair share of our airport transfer bookings.
