Gatwick has two terminals — North and South — and unlike Heathrow's terminals, they're genuinely separate: there's no walkway between them, only a free shuttle transfer that takes a few minutes.
Getting the right terminal matters at Gatwick specifically
Because North and South Terminal are separated by the runway with no direct walking route, turning up at the wrong one at Gatwick costs real time — you'd need to go back through the shuttle system. This is more of an issue at Gatwick than at Heathrow, where the terminals are closer together.
Set-down area
North Terminal has its own set-down area directly outside the building.
Always confirm which terminal
Airlines do move between Gatwick's two terminals from time to time, sometimes with little notice, so please double-check your boarding pass or booking confirmation before you travel rather than assuming based on a previous trip.
Booking your transfer
Tell us it's North Terminal when you book, and we'll take you straight there — no shuttle needed.
