One of the most common questions we get is simply: how early do I need to book? Here is a practical answer rather than a sales one.
The short version
For a straightforward local journey, a few hours' notice is usually plenty. For an airport transfer, we would recommend booking at least a day ahead where you can — and more if you are travelling at a busy time of year or need a pickup in the early hours.
Why early mornings need more notice
Journeys run 24 hours a day, but our phone line takes new bookings between 7am and 7pm. That means a 4am pickup has to be arranged the day before at the latest. It is worth getting into the habit of booking as soon as you have your flight time, rather than the night before.
Busy periods worth planning around
- The two weeks before Christmas, and the days either side of New Year
- School holiday changeover weekends, particularly late July and August
- Bank holiday weekends
If your plans change
Things move — flights get rescheduled, meetings overrun. Let us know as early as you reasonably can and we will do our best to shift the booking. Since every journey is pre-booked and confirmed by SMS, you will always have the details to hand.
To arrange a booking, call us on the number at the top of the page. Phone lines are open 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week, and we will give you a fixed price when you call.
