A pre-booked minicab from Heathrow Airport to Exeter covers roughly 170 miles, via the M4 and M5. It is a long but entirely motorway run for most of the distance, and a practical option for university families with luggage, early summer holiday travellers and those whose flights do not conveniently connect via Bristol or Exeter airports.
Our booking line is closed and reopens at 7am tomorrow. Send an enquiry and we'll call you back. Already booked or on a journey? Call and press 2: that line is answered 24 hours.
Every journey is quoted individually as a fixed fare for your exact addresses, travel time and luggage, including the Heathrow airport charge and any tolls on the route. Not sure which terminal you're flying from? See our Heathrow pickup guide.
The route runs the length of the M4 to junction 19 near Bristol, then south on the M5 to junction 31 for Exeter. The M5 through Somerset is where journey times vary most — summer Saturdays and bank holiday Fridays bring slow traffic between Bristol and Taunton, and we plan departure times honestly rather than giving a best-case figure.
University of Exeter term starts and ends generate predictable demand: international students flying into Heathrow with heavy luggage who cannot manage the train connection. Parents booking a car from abroad in advance is a regular pattern, and the driver meets the student at arrivals with a name board.
We cover Exeter city centre, the university campus, Exeter Airport and the surrounding Devon towns including Crediton, Exmouth and Dawlish on the same fixed-quote basis.
Travelling in the other direction, or starting from Uxbridge, Hillingdon or nearby? We cover Exeter both ways. Call for a quote.
